To the Honorable Mayor and All Aldermen:
Following are the recommendations from the Airport Committee meeting called to order at 4:46p.m.,
November 24, 2014:
1. The City Council adopt the proposed resolution, establishing the 2015 Terminal Advertising
rates and fees pertaining to Minot International Airport.

The above motion by Alderman Lehner, seconded by Committee Member Rued and carried unanimously.
2. The City Council approve a miscellaneous professional services contract with KLJ not to
exceed $25,000 in $5,000 increments for services rendered; and further authorize the Mayor to sign
the agreement on the City’s behalf.

3. The City Council approve the Statement of Work with Trillion Aviation; and further
authorize the Mayor to sign the contract on the City’s behalf.

4. Informational – Project Updates
The Airport Director stated he received a letter from Frontier Airlines confirming they will not be
returning and the last day of services will be January 6, 2015. He said he has reached out to United
Airlines to see if they will add flights or use larger aircrafts to accommodate more passengers. He
stated he has also reached out to American Airlines, who currently offers service out of Bismarck.
Mike Mahoney, a representative of KLJ gave an update of projects. He stated the new terminal is 45%
complete at this time with the completion deadline on December 31, 2015. He said Apron projects 1, 2,
3, 4 and the access road project are shut down for the winter leaving the Apron phase 1 project at 85%
complete. Mr. Mahoney said the new parking lot will start being used this evening in time for the
Thanksgiving holiday. He said the lot currently has temporary striping and traffic control parking is
on a prepaid basis at this time, and there will be electronic arms installed during the second week of

December. Mr. Mahoney stated the drainage issue of the Pietsch Hangar Building has been corrected.
He noted the future AIP application will be applied for in phases to facilitate receiving funding faster.
The Airport Director concluded by confirming the deicing machines have been checked regularly and
are in working order.
There being no further business, Chairman Hatlelid adjourned the meeting at 5:05 p.m.
