June 19, 2013 MINOT CITY COUNCIL - SPECIAL MEETING ROLL CALL Members Present: Connole, Frantsvog, Frey, Hatlelid, Knudsvig, Krabseth, Lehner, Moen, Seymour. Members Absent: Jantzer, B. Miller, M. Miller, Olson, Withus, Zimbelman. Acting Mayor Hatlelid presiding. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Acting Mayor Hatlelid led the City Council in the Pledge of Allegiance. AWARD OF BID – FIRE DEPARTMENT TRAINING GROUNDS – APPROVED Alderman Frey moved that the City Council declare the bid by Wagner Construction for the Fire Department Training Grounds in the amount of $1,757,063 contingent upon execution of Change Order #1 reducing the bid price to $1,564,415; and further, authorize the Mayor to sign the contract and change order on the City’s behalf. Motion seconded by Alderman Krabseth and carried by the following roll call vote: ayes: Connole, Frantsvog, Frey, Hatlelid, Knudsvig, Krabseth, Lehner, Moen, Seymour. nays: none. RESOLUTION NO. 3210 - DECLARING OTHER PUBLIC SPIRITED ORGANIZATION – GREATER MINOT ZOOLOGICAL SOCIETY – APPROVED Alderman Lehner moved that the City Council adopt Resolution No. 3210, recognizing the Greater Minot Zoological Society as an “other public-spirited organization;” for the purpose of conducting gaming within the City of Minot. Motion seconded by Alderman Krabseth and carried by the following roll call vote: ayes: Connole, Frantsvog, Frey, Hatlelid, Knudsvig, Krabseth, Lehner, Moen, Seymour. nays: none. GAMING SITE AUTHORIZATION – GREATER MINOT ZOOLOGICAL SOCIETY – ROOSEVELT PARK AND ZOO – APPROVED Alderman Lehner moved that the City Council approve a site authorization to the Greater Minot Zoological Society to conduct gaming at Roosevelt Park and Zoo (1219 Burdick Expressway East) on August 10, 2013. Motion seconded by Alderman Krabseth and carried by the following roll call vote: ayes: Connole, Frantsvog, Frey, Hatlelid, Knudsvig, Krabseth, Lehner, Moen, Seymour. nays: none. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business, Alderman Lehner moved that the meeting be adjourned. Motion seconded by Alderman Withus and carried unanimously.
