(Public Works and Safety Committee item 3) 6. Public Hearing: To consider the request from Ardell Haugen to move a 2008 year built, 1,273 square foot single family residence from 614 Forest Rd Minot, ND to Haugen 2nd Addition Lots 1 and 2, also known as, 6930 28th Ave SE Minot, ND. (Public Works and Safety Committee item 4) 7. Public Hearing: To consider the request from Clay Burns to move a 1968 year built, 1,280 square foot single family residence from 716 Forest Rd Minot, ND to North Minot Addition Bryn Mawr S/D Lot 3 Block 13, Lot 1 Block 1, also known as, 824 7th Ave NW Minot, ND. Public Hearing: To consider the request from Clay Burns to move a 2003 year built, 16’ X 24’ square foot garage from 16 7th St SW Minot, ND to North Minot Addition Bryn Mawr S/D Lot 3 Block 13, Lot 2 Block 1, also known as, 822 7th Ave NW Minot, ND. Public Hearing: To consider a request for approval of an application for a Renaissance Zone Project filed by Concession Service, LLC to be known as The Wurst Place, Erin Hash, for a state income tax exemption for a lease space in the building located at 111 West Central Ave, original Minot Addition, Block 4, Lots 1 & 2. (Renaissance Committee item 1) 10. Public Hearing: To consider a request for approval of an application for a Renaissance Zone Project filed by Preferred Restaurant Group, Inc., Linda Vollmer and SSW, Inc., doing business as Taco John’s, for a 100% five-year property tax exemption, including improvements, but not land and for the five-year business investment income tax exemption on the property located at North Minot Addition Brides S/D of lot 7 Block 1 lot 1 and HER’s Addition N40’ of lot 16 & all of lot 17 less E14’ thereof for Hwy and outlots sec 14 155 83 E1/2SE1/4 outlots 19 & 20 less E 14’ thereof for Hwy, also known as, 602 3rd Street NW, 623 & 701 North Broadway (Renaissance Committee item 2) 11. Public Hearing: To consider an appeal by Orlan Swensrud and Jen Robinson, of a denied request for a variance to the required parking per the zoning ordinance that states, “No required off street parking spaces may be located CITY COUNCIL June 1, 2015 Page 2 in the required front yard of any “R” district.” This site can only provide one space that meets the requirement. Subdivision of Ballantyne 3rd Addition, Block 2 into 6 lots to be known as Ballantyne 4th Addition, Lots 1-6, for the purpose of single-family development. 2. Subdivision of an unplatted portion of the S1/2 NE1/4 NE1/4 and the N1/2 SE1/4 NE1/4 less Beaver Creek Estates and Outlots 3 & 4, Section 9-154-83 into 2 lots to be known as Christianson Addition, Lots 1 & 2, for residential purposes. 3. Deny a reconsideration on a request by Brian Merkel & Dan Norwood, to change the zone from M1 (Light Industrial) District to M2 (Heavy Industrial) District for the purpose of continuing to operate and expand a frac sand rail unloading facility on Coney Island Addition, Block 2, Lots 1-9 and Burlington Northern Lease Site # 40249356. Also recommend that the City Council deny the request for a conditional use permit to be allowed to continue to operate and expand a frac sand rail unloading facility on Coney Island Addition, Block 2, Lots 1-9 and Burlington Northern Lease Site # 40249356. 4. Also, that City Council introduce an ordinance on first reading to change the zone from M2 (Heavy Industrial) District to P (Public) District on proposed Northeast Industrial 2nd Addition, Block 1, Lot 2.
