To the Honorable Mayor and All Aldermen: Following are the minutes of the Liquor/Gambling Control Committee meeting called to order at 4:39 p.m. on February 29, 2012: 1. That the City Council approve a gaming site authorization for Minot Hockey Boosters, Inc. for a site authorization to operate a pull tab dispensing machine at the Ice Box (100 3rd Street NE) effective March 18, 2012 and to expire June 30, 2012. ********** The above motion by Alderman Withus, seconded by Alderman Olson, and carried unanimously. 2. That the City Council approve the request by Sakura Japanese Steak House, Inc. for a Supper Club alcoholic beverage sales license, dba Sakura Japanese Steak House (1425 24th Avenue SW), effective April 15, 2012, subject to review by the Police Chief and Building Official. ********** The above motion by Alderman Withus, seconded by Alderman Olson, and carried unanimously. 3. That the City Council ratify the following administratively approved requests: a. Minot ND Chapter of Harley Owners Group for a local permit to conduct a calendar raffle February 1, 2012 to January 31, 2013 at Roughrider Harley Davidson (515 20th Ave SE). c. Boy Scout Troop 425 for a local permit to conduct raffles on February 16, 2012 at the Congregational United Church of Christ (430 N Broadway). d. MSU Men’s Hockey Club for a local permit to conduct raffles on February 11, 2012 at the Grand International Inn (1505 N Broadway). e. Longfellow Elementary School for a local permit to conduct raffles on April 20, 2012 at Longfellow Elementary (600 16th St NW) f. Magic City Varsity Dance Team for a local permit to conduct raffles on January 31, 2012 at Minot Auditorium (420 3rd Ave SW) g. Sports on Tap for alcoholic beverage sales special event permit for DJ Blayne Dance Party at Sports on Tap/Planet Pizza green carpet area (220 S Broadway). ********** The above motion by Alderman Withus, seconded by Alderman Olson, and carried unanimously.
