To the Honorable Mayor and All Aldermen: Following are the minutes of the Liquor/Gambling Control Committee meeting called to order at 4:24 p.m. on February 27, 2013: 1. That the City Council approve a gaming site authorization for the MSU Alumni Association for a site authorization to conduct gaming at the Grand International Convention Center on April 5, 2013. ********** The above motion by Alderman Withus, seconded by Alderman Connole, and carried unanimously. 2. That the City Council authorize the Minot Recreation Commission to have alcoholic beverage use on the Sertoma Sports Complex and the South Hill Complex parking lots during the 2013 softball tournament season for the dates, locations, and times on file in the City Clerk’s Office. ********** The above motion by Alderman Withus, seconded by Alderman Connole, and carried unanimously. 3. That the City Council ratify the following administratively approved requests: a. Longfellow PTA for a local permit to conduct raffle on April 12, 2013 at Longfellow Elementary School (600 16th Street NW). b. Souris Valley Ducks Unlimited for a local permit to conduct raffle on February 23, 2013 at Grand International – Convention Center (1505 North Broadway). c. MSU Athletic Department for a local permit to conduct raffles on April 5, 2013 at Minot State University Dome (500 University Avenue West). ********** The above motion by Alderman Withus, seconded by Alderman Connole, and carried unanimously.
