Renaissance Zone Board Meeting Meeting Minutes for June 25, 2020 @ 8:30am. Public Works Building Members Present: Pete Hugret (Chair), Jason Bentley, Teri Aldrich Members Absent: Kerry Candrian, Barry Clute, Betty Fedorchak, Jen Cook, Michael King, Pat Bailey Others Present: Brian Billingsley (Community & Economic Director), Josh Wolsky, Glenda Sorensen (Planning Assistant), Ryan Kamrowski (City Assessor), Damon Druse (Assistant City Assessor), Kevin Black Call to Order: Chairman Hugret called the meeting to order at 9:00am. Agenda: Kevin Black/Creedence Energy Application Discussion of 2/27/20 bus tour ______________________________________________________________________ Item #1 Kevin Black gave a presentation on the history of his building and an overview of the Renaissance Zone Application for approval. Assistant City Assessor Druse gave an update and handout on the assessed value of the property. For the record, the assessed value was $204,000 in 2019 (which is on the application) and is $411,000 in 2020. Chairman Hugret called for a vote to approve the application. Motion by Aldrich to approve the application, seconded by Bentley. ayes: all, nays: none Motion approved. Item #2 Billingsley and Hugret gave an update to the rest of the committee regarding the bus tour some of the committee members took in February. Billingsley noted that blocks 29 – 36 are too far from the center of the zone; therefore, the State of North Dakota considers them not eligible. The following blocks are preferred blocks: 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 17, 19, 20, 21, 22 & 23 (total 15) Prior to the conclusion of the meeting, Mr. Black asked for clarification regarding applications submissions, specifically is it by owner or property. Billingsley stated that only one application can be submitted by project location. With no other business before the committee, Chairman Hugret asked for a motion to adjourn the meeting.
