Renaissance Zone Board Meeting Meeting Minutes for August 27, 2020 @ 8:30am. Public Works Building Members Present: Pete Hugret (Chair), Betty Fedorchak, Kerry Candrian, Jason Bentley, Barry Clute (by phone) Members Absent: Terri Aldrich, Jen Cook, Michael King, Pat Baily Others Present: Brian Billingsley (Community & Economic Director), Glenda Sorensen (Planning Assistant), Kevin Black (by phone), Josh Wolsky Call to Order: Chairman Hugret called the meeting to order at 8:32 am. Agenda: Renaissance Zone Map Amendment Renaissance Zone Plan Update Planning Staff Update ______________________________________________________________________ Minutes of July 30, 2020 meeting not approved at this meeting due to no quorum present. Minutes to be approved at the next Renaissance Zone Meeting. Item #1 Economic Development Director Billingsley gave an update on the current blocks:  Allowed: 42  Current: 20 (1 block must be eliminated)  Half government blocks: 4  Billingsley informed the committee that Trinity is not selling blocks R & S.  Block L only placed if blocks I, J & K are not added. It was decided that block L will not be added.  Blocks F, G & H added. Blocks currently:  A  L eliminated  B  M  C  N eliminated  D  O  E  P  F  Q  G  R eliminated  H  S eliminated  I  T  J  U  K  V  W eliminated (remains on back burner) Motion made by Betty Fedorchak to approve the blocks amendments, second by Barry Clute. ayes: all, nays: none Motion passes Item #2 Discussion of the Renaissance Zone Plan Update postponed until the next meeting. Item #3 Billingsley informed the committee on Planning Staff changes:  Lance Lang will be retiring on September 11.  John VanDyke will replace Lang as Principal Planner in October.  Jonathan Rosenthal will begin his employment on September 14 as the new Economic Development Administrator.
