Assistant City Attorney Karin Salameh presented information on the Brown Act and FPPC. PUBLIC APPEARANCE PUBLIC APPEARANCE items are reports on non-routine issues that might stimulate public discussion, but that do not require formal noticing as public hearings. You are welcome to offer your comments after being recognized by the Chair. The Committee may limit the time each speaker is allocated. 1. Measure P Background and Role of the Ballot Measure Advisory Committee Interim City Manager Uslar shared Measure P background and the Ballot Measure Advisory Committee’s role in considering possible voter renewal in November 2018 as Measure P sunsets in April 2019.  Ballot Measure Advisory Committee Meeting Minutes Wednesday, April 11, 2018 2. Committee Organization On a motion made by Michael Dawson, seconded by David Jones, and carried by the following vote, the committee elected Carol Chorbajian the chair. City of Monterey Financial Overview Interim Finance Director Carol Bouchard provided a broad overview of City’s current financial status. Action: Received presentation (Attachment A) 4. Status of Measure P Projects Public Works Director Wittry gave a presentation on the current status of the measure. Hans Jannasch requested a map showing current status and schedule of work. Richard Ruccello would like to know how much of the general fund goes towards CIP in comparison to other cities. He also requested the total amount that will be paid for all Measure P work. Public Works Director Wittry shared graphs comparing scenarios of deferred maintenance and continuation of Measure P, explaining that in seven years, the estimated total would be $10,000,000 per year. David Jones requested a scenario showing the entire cost. Meeting Schedule On a motion made by David Jones, seconded by Richard Ruccello, and carried by the following vote, the committee approved the meeting schedule through June 2018 (Attachment C).
