Staff Presentation/Commissioner Comments
Acting CC Director Kim Cole presented Agenda Report and took Commissioners’

questions.
Cole said that Dawson mentioned looking at Drawing A4 for plans
Barlow @ 13
Dawson, which door? Page 9 says a pair of doors.
Miroglio said it is a pair of doors.
Dawson, It doesn’t show them. So A1 we’re not using, but what about A2?
Miroglio: that’s incorrect.
Dawson: so the text is correct.
Obrien, in replacement will all be replacement siding or a combo or original and
replacement?
Applicant
Naomi Miroglia of ARG said that all wood siding will be replaced. Old siding will remain
on inside of new siding.
Lin Miller, Doug Wiele’s partner from Foothill said they’re excited to be on verge of const
and they want to open at the beginning of 2018. Thank you for hearing the project so
quickly. We’re here to answer questions and they can add if needed.
Oneil: on sliding doors: will it go on track and where will it be?
Miroglio: track mounted on ext of the building. Similar to what you see on typical barns. It
wasn’t possible to do interior slider and guardrail together.
Napoli: material you’re filling arch feature with?
Miller: it can be excavated and the archaeologist on site will make a recommendation.
Oneil: will redwood be milled specially in an old fashioned way?
Miller: yes, so you can see the saw marks. It’s been a long process and it’ll be milled sp
for us to dimension.
Barlow: it looks like the barn door is near a changing room. Will that ever be open and
would you really need a guardrail if it’s not ever open?
Miroglio: it’s a code requirement, considering someone falling from the second floor. You
could lock it off permanently but that would be a shame.
Miller: it’s the bride’s room and our events center will be used for bridal activities, not
changing.
Barlow: if you’re going to see it, it’ll be part of façade, will that be glass?

Kristin is very committed in terms of investment. Spoke of the dance studio and history.
Oneil: the previous warehouse was in bad shape. Preserved well.

adobes?
