Public Comments None. Commissioner Comments The Commissioners spoke in favor of the permit amendment. Planning Manager Hill provided additional information on impacted vegetation and signage. Applicant Applicant Daniel Pierce addressed replacement equipment and signage. Applicant Norman MacLeod shared additional information on Radio Frequency (RF) training. Public Comments Planning Commission Meeting Minutes Tuesday June 11, 2024 2 Docusign Envelope ID: 27AA8B77-68D0-4231-8AF2-F6867A26C741 Planning Commission Minutes Tuesday June 11, 2024 Laurie Putnam voiced concerns about landscaping and suggested having California American Water (CalAm) work directly with the neighbors. Commissioner Comments Commissioner Silva emphasized the need for increased landscaping and suggested involving the City Forester to ensure appropriate vegetation. Vice-Chair Bluth highlighted the importance of considering artificial foliage on the tower due to the slow growth of new plantings. Commissioner Silva made a motion to approve the application with the draft conditions and the addition of two special conditions regarding landscaping notification of proposed construction. On a motion by Commissioner Silva, seconded by Commissioner Latasa and carried by the following vote, the Planning Commission approved with conditions use Permit UP-24-0020 to allow modifications to an existing wireless facility on an existing "monopine" structure at 620 Devisadero Street: AYES: 7 COMMISSIONERS: Dawson, Bluth, Brassfield, Fletcher, Freeman, Latasa, Silva NOES: 0 COMMISSIONERS: None ABSENT: 0 COMMISSIONERS: None ABSTAIN: 0 COMMISSIONERS: None RECUSED: 0 COMMISSIONERS: None COMMISSIONER COMMENTS None. PUBLIC COMMENT PROCEDURES AND TIME LIMITS: The total amount of time allocated for public comment on a particular issue and for each individual speaker is generally as follows: 1. Up to three minutes per speaker. 2. For regular Planning Commission meetings, there are two 15-minute public comment periods, one in the afternoon and one in the evening. Speakers may only comment during one session. 3. The total time allocated for public comment: a. Items pulled from the consent agenda – 15 minutes each item b. Public Appearance items – 30 minutes each item c.
