SPECIAL PARKS, ARTS & RECREATION COMMISSION MINUTES FEB 4, 2021 MINUTES SPECIAL PARKS, ARTS & RECREATION COMMISSION MEETING FEBRUARY 4, 2021 – 8:00 A.M Via GoTo Meeting “To enhance community pride through developing and maintaining city parks with a high standard of quality.” Members Present: Julie Jelen, Nancy McCaffrey, Brian Stoll, Adam Leiferman Members Absent: Lynn Anderson, Jack Gregor Staff Present: Beth Green, Matt Leonard, Tom Pawelk, Sue Seeger 1. Call to Order. Brian Stoll called the meeting to order at 8 a.m. 2. PARC Applicant Interviews.  8:00 a.m. Stuardt Boydston Interview  8:15 a.m. Janine Kopff Interview  8:30 a.m. Mercedes Turner (pre-recorded)  9:00 Teri Willenbring Interview Following the interviews, discussed who would be the best two candidates to fill the open seats left by Mariah Peterson and Jack Gregor. Following discussions, the PARC was unanimous in their selections. NANCY MCCAFFREY MOVED TO RECOMMEND THE APPOINTMENT OF JANINE KOPFF TO FILL THE VACANT SEAT THRU 2021, AND MERCEDES TURNER TO FILL THE VACANT SEAT THROUGH 2022. MOTION SECONDED BY JULIE JELEN. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY, 4-0. 3. Ellison Park Precast Restroom Design Approval. Tom Pawelk shared the proposed design being planned for the new Ellison Park restroom. The approval needed at this time is for the color and style of siding as the design itself has not yet been finalized. The consensus is to move forward with the lap siding to match the Lions Den shelter with the Mississippi Bronze corners, soffit and facia, along with the fieldstone on the bottom third of the 1  SPECIAL PARKS, ARTS & RECREATION COMMISSION MINUTES FEB 4, 2021 building. Pawelk said that when the design is complete, he will bring it back for review and final recommended approval for the City Council. 4. Adjourn.
