Central Vermont Public Safety Authority Central Vermont Chamber of Commerce Building June 4, 2015 Meeting Minutes – Draft Directors present: Kim Cheney, Doug Hoyt and, Alexandra Pastor, at-large directors; Dona Bate and Tom Golonka representing the City of Montpelier, Martin Prevost and Michael Smith, representing Barre City. Director(s) absent: None Others attending: David Delcore, Times Argus reporter; Bob Sager, Board Treasurer. The meeting was called to order at 6:35pm by Tom. A motion to approve the agenda as presented with two additions was made Doug, seconded by Alexandra. Motion passed. A motion to approve the minutes of the May 28th meeting as presented was made by Alexandra, seconded by Michael. Motion passed. The Board had a discussion of the meeting schedule for the summer and decided to maintain the first and third Thursdays as the regular meeting schedule. A motion finding the premature public knowledge of the discussion of the specifics of the executive director search and, specifically an interview with the 2nd of two candidates for the executive director position was made by Martin, seconded by Alexandra. Motion passed. A motion to go into executive session under the provisions of 1 VSA sections 313 to both discuss the candidates for the executive director position as well as to conduct an electronic interview of the 2nd candidate for the position was made by Kim, seconded by Martin. Motion passed. The Board went into executive session at 6:45pm inviting Treasurer Bob Sager to join. A motion to come out of executive session was made Dona, seconded by Alexandra. Motion passed. The Board came out of executive session at 8:47pm. A motion to authorize the Tom to negotiate with Francis (Paco) Aumand for the purpose of offering him the position of executive director of the Central Vermont Public Safety Authority was made by Kim, seconded by Michael. Motion passed with Dona and Martin voting against. Without objection Tom adjourned the meeting at 8:50pm.
