Meeting Minutes of the Montpelier Conservation Commission July 12, 2012 Attendees: Dan Courier, Jackie Cassino, Erik Escelstyn, Geoff Beyer, Shawn White, Karen Freeman, Roy Schiff  Target Resource Overlay District (TROD) o New master plan encourages growth out from center of City. o Development incentives are growth center and sewer /water infrastructure. o No development allowed  50-foot buffers on all streams. 100 fT?  Wetlands  Steep slopes >15% o Conservation Values  Proposed trail corridors  Density bonus for maintaining trail easement.  Wildlife linkages – Jens Hilke, staying connected N/S key  Natural communities biodiversity areas from master plan. Prioritize?  Significant, threatened and endangered species.  Deer yards. May be one near National Life not on map.  Prime agricultural soils. o May want simplified map? o Explain greater purpose for trail corridors. o Text on TROD coming from CVRPC.  Berlin Pond Update o Article to paper.  Tasks for next meeting. o Print MCC copies of Master Plan.
