Meeting Minutes of the Montpelier Conservation Commission October 10, 2013 Attendees: Karen Freeman, Geoff Beyer, Mahima Poreddy, Roy Schiff  Review and approve September minutes.  Made updates to commissioner list information (submitted to Sandy).  AVCC Meeting update o Dues paid for MCC by Karen. (Receipt submitted to City for reimbursement) o See Community Strategies for VT Forests and Wildlife o Review Conservation Commission map of Vermont o See Conserving Vermont’s Natural Heritage o May be nice to look at full build-out map of City. (Small pox map) (Request made to CVRPC for past analysis and possible GIS map.)  Budget Review o $14,544 o Projects  Half position of the Parks-MCC VISTA for $3,200  Steph Olson  Presentation Dec 14th 7-7:45pm on past activities and agenda setting  Tree grate as previously approved by commission but never purchased for $1,600  Possible conservation project  Neighborhood rain garden  Need to discuss other plans with full group.  Conservation survey o Initial look at results o Presentation proposed for next meeting on 11/14 to review and discuss data o Results in database  Wish List of Lands to Conserve (created initial list, map to be made once list final) 1. Stump dump north ridge area across from NBNC, 87 acres for sale, easement and purchase combination after sub-divide 2. Trail easement along North Park Drive owned by Golonkas 3. Lague land near stump dump 4. Lands north trail corridor 5. Richardson lands, 53 acres 6. Anne Cumming’s land 7. Vermont College Green 8. Connector pieces around Sabin’s Pasture for trail access 9.
