Review and Approve Minutes from February 13, 2018 n/a 6. Discuss Agenda Topics for April 4th Public Meeting (Staff and Chair to follow-up with Consultant following 3/13/2018 meeting) Noting the absence of a quorum and official meeting, present members discussed the agenda for the April 4th public meeting. Staff handed out a draft agenda. Members agreed on the following meeting components:  • Welcome; Introductions • Overview of the project and expected accomplishments • Presentation from LandWorks [including discussion on the benefits of design review, examples of how it works in different communities, examples of communities without design review, the goals of design review in terms of historic preservation, design review in Montpelier, etc.] • Brief slide show- digital walk through Montpelier’s design control district (or guess the building slides showing unique architectural features) • ‘Story time’ facilitated by LandWorks- Invite participants to tell their story in 2-3 minutes and why they love Montpelier (or other question(s) to be developed) Members discussed the proposed work program and schedule. Given the lack of a quorum, members agreed to meet again on Tuesday March 27th to discuss the exempt development standards. J.Lapachinski suggested for each member to each bring with them an example of design criteria/standards they like. Members discussed having a second public meeting in late May to discuss the proposed design criteria/standards followed by a walk and talk showing how the standards will be applied to properties. Staff agreed to email copies of the existing design review recommendation forms. Staff and Chair will have a follow-up telephone conversation with LandWorks on March 21st at 1:30 PM. 7.
