1. Introductions
Ryan Wallace – Council Rep.
Megan Kline – Mental Health/homelessness/WVU behavioral medicine
Lauri Andress – WVU Prof. School of Public Health; health policy, identifying gaps in
public health
Dan Shook – Director of Safe Communities; wants to bring Blue Zone model to
Morgantown
David Loomis – use and promotion of evidence-based practices, nurturing communities,
program evaluation
Colleen Harshbarger – Wellbeing Solutions, Social-emotional physical health, social-
ecological mode. Reebok/ Sprint-Splash triathlon

Colleen Harshbarger selected as chair; Lauri Andress motioned, Christine Wallace seconded,
unanimous vote.

unanimous vote.
Dan Shook selected as Vice-chair; Christine Wallace motioned, Ryan Wallace seconded,
unanimous vote.

4. Health and Wellness Commission Background
Health in all policies framework – Lauri Andress. Impact assessment for health
population…create a population health impact statement.
5. Rachel Fetty mentioned that the other applicants should be on sub-committees –
interested in mental health.
6. Colleen Harshbarger – data-driven process.
7. Get a facilitator – Lauri Andress nominated a professional facilitator, Christine seconded
for Terri Cutright. Neutral, not grounded in health.
