Minutes of Thursday September 24, 2020
Members present: John Trumble, Marti Shamberger, Chris Haddox, Ron Dulaney, Ross

The meeting was called to order by Chris Haddox at 6:03 p.m. via ZOOM. The minutes
were accepted as presented.
Chris Haddox’s meeting with Alex Stockdale was rescheduled to Wednesday September
30 at the Woodburn site to discuss the outside property issues including the area around
the fire escape removal, the loose flashing around the front parapet, and the water leaking
inside of this area in the Pop Shop room. Interior issues addressing post construction clean
up.
John Trumble reached out to Alex Stockdale on any updates on the Energy Bond but has
not heard back from her.
CDBG-there weren’t any new updates concerning the CDBG previous funding or
upcoming grant applications.
Tenants:
Boys and Girls Club are planning to move forward with their goal is to stay in the
building. The basement area of the building had minor flooding in February so they are
waiting to repaint the area with approval from the City.
PopShop has not had any post construction cleaning from the City. Chris Russell
indicated he was going to have it professionally cleaned. The commission felt that the Pop
Shop should talk with the City Manager about the cleaning and costs. The Pop Shop will
be starting lessons next month.
Friends of Decker’s Creek have still been operating out of their building.
M.T. Pockets have not been using their space.
Discussion was held regarding using the front of the building area as a pollinator garden.
Members suggested information signage and participation from the Neighborhood Assn
and community.
Discussion was also held about giving an update to Council on the site. November COW
may be a possibility.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:36 p.m.
The next meeting will be October 29, 2020 6:00 p.m. via ZOOM (details were attached to
the agenda).
