OF August 26, 2021

Commissioners Absent: Anne Henning
Staff Present: City Manager Allison Williams, Community Development Director Melissa
Bethel, Planning Manager Vivian Ramsey, Planning Permit Technician Michelene

The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m.
Motion to approve May 13, 2021 minutes by Commissioner Mann and seconded by
Commissioner Hepburn. Motion passed unanimously.
Item # 1- Draft Comprehensive Plan Presentation
Kevin Gifford with Berk Consulting presented the Draft Comprehensive Plan to the
Commission. The PowerPoint presentation included the comprehensive plan update
process and a review of the UGA boundary changes.
Public Comments:
Kim Foster- Mr. Foster commented on UGA boundaries and development within the
UGA.
Mark Fancher- Mr. Fancher commented on the updated Land Use Element within the
Comprehensive Plan as well as the Housing Action Plan.
Gil Alvarado- Mr. Alvarado commented on the UGA Boundaries update and his current
projects within the City.
Jim Warjone- Mr. Warjone commented on the Transportation Element of the
Comprehensive Plan as well the Land Use Element and Housing Action Plan.
Planning Commission Questions and Comments:
Commission requested another workshop meeting to discuss the boundary changes
and a more in-depth detail of the draft documents.
Meeting adjourned at 7:48 PM by Chair Nofziger.

provided to Commission electronically and recorded in the meeting minutes. Citizens who would like to speak
on matters during the meeting will need to complete the following form no later than 3 p.m. on the day of the
