CITY OF MOSES LAKE PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES OF May 2, 2024 Commissioners Present: Nathan Nofziger (Chair), Charles Hepburn (Vice Chair), Gary Mann, Susan Tao Commissioners Absent: Adam Weber Staff Present: Community Development Director Kirsten Peterson, Planning Manager Vivian Ramsey, Senior Planner Nathan Pate, Planner Amy Harris, and Planning Technician Michelene Torrey The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. Attendance was called by Secretary Michelene Torrey. Commissioner Weber was absent from the meeting and Commissioner Mann moved to excuse the absence, seconded by Vice Chair Hepburn. Motion Carried Unanimously. Item # 1- Approval of Minutes from April 18, 2024, Meeting Commissioner Mann moved to approve the minutes, seconded by Vice Chair Hepburn. Motion Carried Unanimously. Item #2 – Development Code Review- The Commissioners and Staff reviewed RV Parks, Day Care Facilities, and the Fence sections of the new Unified Development Code. Discussion included what the changes from the current code would be in regards to the new code. The Commission considered the size of the RV park interior roads and the placement of fencing. The Commission also discussed the state requirements for day care facilities. Meeting adjourned at 7:19 PM by Chair Nofziger.
