CITY OF MOSES LAKE PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES OF September 9, 2024 Commissioners Present: Nathan Nofziger (Chair), Charles Hepburn (Vice Chair), Gary Mann, Adam Weber Commissioners Absent: N/A Staff Present: Interim Community Development Director Vivian Ramsey, Planner Amy Harris, Long Range Planner James Bagley, Planning Technician Michelene Torrey, and City Attorney Anna Franz The meeting was called to order at 7 p.m. Attendance was called by Secretary Michelene Torrey. Item #1 PUBLIC HEARING Moses Lake Unified Development Code City Attorney Anna Franz presented a brief overview of the code update and the changes that were completed. The public hearing was opened by Chair Nofziger, and one member of the public commented on the code. The comment was made in reference to the Home Occupation and Short-Term Rental portions of the code. Chair Nofziger closed the public hearing and opened the discussion to the commission. The commission discussed the history and the process of the code update. After brief discussion Vice Chair Hepburn moved to recommend approval of the ordinance, seconded by Commissioner Mann. Motion passed unanimously. Meeting adjourned at 7:38 PM by Chair Nofziger.
