TOWN OF MOUNT PLEASANT, SOUTH CAROLINA MOUNT PLEASANT TOWN COUNCIL SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING Monday, April 5, 2021, 12:00 p.m. Municipal Complex, Council Chambers 100 Ann Edwards Lane Mount Pleasant, SC 29464 In accordance with Governor McMaster’s Executive Order 2021-12 Council Chambers will be limited to 50% occupancy. MINUTES I. Call to Order Mayor Pro Tempore, Tom O’Rourke called the Special Town Council meeting to order at 12:06 p.m. Tom O’Rourke, Howard Chapman, Brenda Corley, Laura Hyatt, Kathy Landing, and Gary Santos were present. Mayor Haynie joined the meeting virtually for executive session but was not present at call to order. Jake Rambo and Guang Ming Whitley were absent. II. Public Comment [None] III. Executive Session to discuss a personnel matter: Annual performance evaluation for the Town Administrator Mr. Santos moved to go into executive session; seconded by Mr. Chapman. All present voted in favor. Town Council convened into executive session at 12:08 p.m. at which point Mayor Haynie joined the meeting virtually. Town Council reconvened at 12:57 p.m., with Mayor Haynie having ended his virtual participation. No action or votes were taken in executive session. IV. Post Executive Session  Council may take action on any item, including any subsection of any section, listed on an executive session agenda or discussed in an executive session during a properly noticed meeting Mr. O’Rourke moved to extend the length of the Town Administrator’s contract by one year and add an additional 4% to his salary beginning immediately; seconded by Ms. Corley. All present voted in favor. (Mayor Haynie had left the meeting, and Ms. Whitley and Mr. Rambo were absent.) V.
