SPECIAL TOWN COUNCIL MEETING Tuesday, December 13, 2022, 5:00 p.m. Municipal Complex, Council Chambers 100 Ann Edwards Lane, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464 MINUTES 1. Call to Order Mayor Haynie called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. Brenda Corley, Howard Chapman, Carl Ritchie, Gary Santos, Guang Ming Whitley, John Iacofano and Laura Hyatt were all present. Mr. Rambo was Absent. 2. Public Comment Lynne Moore of 3567 Somerset Hills Court stated she moved here from North Carolina five years ago and opened up South Bay, a luxury continuing care retirement community, and subsequently opened her own senior care management firm. She stated she wanted to introduce herself as she has submitted her application to serve on the Recreation Advisory Commission. 3. Executive Session Ms. Whitley moved to go into executive session for the reasons listed on the agenda, seconded by Mr. Chapman. Mayor Haynie read the items listed and called for the vote. All present voted in favor. The meeting was adjourned into executive session at 5:03 p.m. a.Personnel (1)Consideration of applications to serve on the Recreation Advisory Commission (2)Consideration of applications to serve on the Accommodations Tax Advisory Committee (3)Consideration of applications to serve on the Historic District Preservation Commission  b.Legal and Contractual Discussion regarding Town-owned property on Faison Road 4.Post Executive Session Council may take action on any item, including any subsection of any section, listed on an executive session agenda or discussed in an executive session during a properly noticed meeting. Mayor Haynie reconvened the meeting at 5:45 p.m. stating no votes or action had been taken. Ms. Hyatt moved that staff proceed on Faison Road as directed in executive session, seconded by Ms. Whitley. All present voted in favor. Mr. Chapman moved to reappoint Mr. Corey Barber and Ms. Anne Shaw to the Historic District Preservation Commission, seconded by Mr. Iacofano. All present voted in favor. Ms. Corley moved to appoint Ms. Lynne Moore to the Recreation Advisory Commission, seconded by Ms. Hyatt. All present voted in favor. Mr. Iacofano moved to reappoint Lisa Crowley to the Accommodations Tax Advisory Committee, seconded by Mr. Ritchie. All present voted in favor. 5.
