Staff: Christiane Farrell, Michele Reed, David Pagliarini, Liz Boyles, Michael Robertson, Peter Stone, Kate Miller, Kristen Forbus, Aaron Bennett, Lynnette Lynes Also: Kelly Cousino, White & Smith Ms. Smith called the meeting to order at 11:00 am. 1. Approval of the Agenda Ms. Ireland moved for approval of the agenda. Mr. Koedding seconded the motion. All in favor. 2. Correspondence All correspondence received was linked to the agenda and distributed to the Commission. 3. General Public Comment There being no comments, Ms. Smith continued with the agenda. 4. New Business A. Review drafts of Subchapters A: Introduction, B: Zoning Districts, and C: Use Regulations of the Town’s Zoning Code Rewrite. Ms. Cousino reviewed the draft Zoning Code with the Commission. It was suggested that more definition is needed to better clarify “mixed” and if it means residential housing types or mixture of uses.  Special Planning Commission October 26, 2022 Page 2 of 2 The Commission discussed whether different conditional uses for hotels should be considered, such as proximity to residential homes. The Commission discussed floating zones. The Commission discussed the definition change from family to household. It was suggested that the NP-OD district could be expanded to other older neighborhoods. Ms. Cousino stated that the next step would be to review this information with the Planning Committee of Council and to complete the draft for subchapter D.
