POLICE, JUDICIAL & LEGAL COMMITTEE Tuesday, June 18, 2024 8:00 a.m. Municipal Complex, Committee Meeting Room 100 Ann Edwards Lane, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464 MINUTES Members Present: Mayor Haynie, Guang Ming Whitley, Howard Chapman, Carl Ritchie Staff Present: David Pagliarini, Corporation Counsel 1. Call to order Mayor Haynie called the meeting to order at 8:00 a.m. 2. Public Comments [None] 3. Executive Session a. Executive session to conduct interviews for Municipal Judges Ms. Whitley moved to go into executive session for the reason stated on the agenda, seconded by Mr. Chapman. All present voted in favor. The meeting adjourned into executive session at 8:00 a.m. b. Post Executive Session Committee may take action on any item, including any subsection of any section, listed on an executive session agenda or discussed in an executive session during a properly noticed meeting. Mayor Haynie reconvened the meeting at 10:03 a.m. stating no votes or action had been taken. Ms. Whitley moved to recommend to full Council the three candidates discussed in executive session for appointment, seconded by Mr. Chapman.
