Members Present: Mayor Will Haynie Howard Chapman, Brenda Corley,
Carl Ritchie
Staff Present: Brad Morrison, Eric DeMoura, Daniel Williamson
Presentation
1. Call to order
Mayor Haynie called the meeting to order at 10:11 am.
2. Approval of Minutes from the June 5, 2023 meeting
Mr. Chapman moved for approval of the minutes; motion seconded by
Ms. Corley. Motion carried unanimously.
3. Public Comments
None.
4. Update and discussion on Mobility Action Plan
Mr. Morrison provided an update on the Mobility Action Plan
identifying US 17/Johnnie Dodds Boulevard at Houston Northcutt
Boulevard and Coleman Boulevard/Ben Sawyer Boulevard at Chuck
Dawley Boulevard as primary intersections for improvements.
Mayor Haynie asked if incident management would be included in the
Mobility Action Plan.
Mr. Morrison answered in the affirmative.

5. Update – ongoing projects
Mr. Morrison provided an update on the Highway 41 Corridor
improvements.

Mr. Williamson provided an update on the Patriots Point Gateway
Intersection Improvements project.
Mayor Haynie asked the status of the canopy improvements at the Circle
K convenience store and gas station located at the intersection.
Ms. Reed stated that permits were not obtained for the project and a stop
work order was issued. Once plans are submitted and approved, the
project will resume.
Mr. Williamson provided updates on the Vaughn Ed Kee Parkway, Billy
Swails Boulevard Phase 4B, Maritime Port District, All American Boulevard,
US 17/Mathis Ferry/Venning Road and Shem Creek Bike Lane projects.
Discussion between the Committee and staff.
6. Adjourn
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 10:35 am.
