Attendance: DerrickThompson, Committee Chair (City Council President) - Present Stephanie Vanderpool, Assessor - Present Dr. Darren M. Morton, Comptroller - Not present until the meeting was adjourned joyce Brown, City Attorney - Present Elias S, Gootzeit, Legislative Assistant/Committee Secretary Guests: Summary The March 25,2022 and April 29, 2022 minutes were not yet available. The May 27, 2022 meeting was canceled due to City Hall closing earlyfor Memorial Day holiday. June 24'h is the next regular meeting. Regular meetings take place the last Friday of each month at 3:30pm Old Business The Assessor discussed the June 21, 2018 offer of Mr.& Mrs. Tunji Renner of 590,000 for the property located at 234 East Fifth Street Block4064 Lot #1 for which the offer was 575,000 and the contiguous vacant property on East Fifth Street identified as Block 4064 Lot # O had an offer of S15,000. The Assessor indicated a preference for returning to Mr. and Mrs. Renner"s offer to determine whether it was still active, and the Secretarywill write a letter in behalf of the Committee to determine Mr. and Mrs. Renner's offer. The Comptrollerindicated that they the Real Estate Committee should not entertain offers on Municipal owned properties until appraisals for each are completed. NY 10550 Dr. Darren Morton-Comptroller (914) 665-2329 Stephanie Vanderpool-Assessor As to the property at 32 North High Street ( block 1072, lot 5), the Assessor reported that the property once listed as City owned has been returned to a petitioning party to whom ownership was awarded by the New York State Court, the Deed favoring ownership by the City of Mount Vernon was nullified and ownership is still with the previous owner. The property has been returned to the tax roll As to the property at41 South Fourth Avenue ( block 3111, lot 32), the Assessor reported that the property once listed as City owned has been returned to a petitioning party to whom ownership was awarded by the New York State Court, the Deed favoring ownership by the City of Mount Vernon was nullified and ownership is still with the previous owner.
