MINUTES Call to Order and announce a quorum is present Chair Johnson called the meeting to order at 5:08 p.m. and announced a quorum present. Minutes 11/4/2024 Motion made by Board Member Trampus, Seconded by Board Member Brown. Voting Yea: Board Chair Johnson, Board Vice-Chair Franza, Board Member Brown, Board Member Trampus, Board Member Collvins Discussion Items (no action will be taken) Spring Event-assignment of duties-sponsors, mapping committee, vendors, food trucks PUC has sponsored $1,000 and Alliance Bank but amount is unknown 15 vendors are signed up and more than 300 invited so far Theresa will do a google sheet for all members to be able to check in, confirm, and add to as information is gathered. Theresa will ask Frankie Cooper to share sponsor list for more possible participation CEC want to do fish fry and band in the park on Saturday evening Downtown and projects-movie projector costs are much more than anticipated, we will continue to pursue avenues to raise funds to get the needed projector. Little Creek Park 650k matching grant with Texas Parks and Wildlife Smokey Row-picnic tables We will ask businesses or individuals to sponsor table for this area. Joint Council and EDC meeting regarding Planning and Zoning, Housing Study-2/13/25 MS Board is invited to participate Committee Reports Organization - Morgan, Chris,Theresa, Ginger Economic Vitality - Morgan, Brittany, Stephanie Design - Crystal, Brittany, Stephanie Promotions - Crystal, Chris, Theresa, Ginger Set up next committee meeting lunch. (second Thursdays) Next meeting 2/13/2025 Economic Vitality - Morgan, Brittany, Stephanie Due to holiday nothing to report except new meeting will be January 30th at 1:30 pm at The Loading Dock Manager Update ROMEO and JULIET Project-Papa J's third Wednesday, first one participation was great but starting to drop off Friendly Friday-We are introducing businesses to the community with a few minute video on FB Merchant Monday we have had a couple meetings participation is up and down but possitive for the most part. We are here to help the businesses and get them out there. Food Truck Fridays - Movie & Music in the park - We would like to start this one Friday per month until the Spring Event and then every Friday night after the event until the end of October. EOY Assessment and Accredidation-will have to be completed and turned in by 1/26/2025.
