Mount Vernon Fire Department Public Safety Meeting December 2, 2015 Minutes Approval of the Minutes No minutes were submitted for approval. FIRE Next Unit Available  Chief Hari presented the requested information regarding the last unit available times for Central Valley Ambulance. o The data was compared by hand and showed that there were 193 times which CVAA was out of ambulances in 2014. Of these 193 instances, 56 times ambulances were out of service for more than 15 minutes. o The 2015 raw data is showing an increase of the 2014 Last Unit Dispatch pages. MAYOR City and School District (1998) Reciprocal Agreement  The agreement was created to share facilities: parks, school kitchens, fields, etc.  Costs covered by the agreement included maintenance from parks staff, street sweeping and Police Officers for schools. When applied, current field rates do not cover labor costs associated with the upkeep due to the increase usage. In 2015, school usage of City facilities (based on current field rates) $6,295. City usage of school facilities was $3,800.  Next Steps: o Meet with the Athletic Director for the Mount Vernon School District o Meet with the Facilities Director for the Mount Vernon School District o Propose a new agreement to Council in February 2016.  Joint meeting with the School District is scheduled for December 16th with Council. This meeting is to discuss School Capital needs and the Library Project. Meeting was adjourned at 6:29 pm
