Quinn, City Attorney June 10, 2014 Council Chambers SHORELINE REGIONAL PARK COMMUNITY 6:30 P.M.-REGULAR SESSION (HELD IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS) 1. CALL TO ORDER President Clark called the meeting to order at 6:43 p.m. and led the Pledge of Allegiance. 2. ROLL CALL Present: 6 - Boardmember Abe-Koga, Boardmember Bryant, Boardmember Inks, Boardmember Kasperzak, Boardmember Siegel, and President Clark Absent: 1 - Vice President McAlister 3. CONSENT CALENDAR MOTION - M/S Siegel/Abe-Koga - To approve the Consent Calendar. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: Boardmember Abe-Koga, Boardmember Bryant, Boardmember Inks, Boardmember Kasperzak, Boardmember Siegel, and President Clark Absent: Vice President McAlister 3.1 Approval of Minutes. Approve the Minutes for the following meetings: 1) Shoreline Regional Park Community Meeting of May 13, 2014; and 2) Shoreline Regional Park Community Meeting of May 20, 2014. 3.2 Increase Appropriations for Water Costs in the General Fund Reserve, Shoreline Golf Links, Shoreline Regional Park Community, and Solid Waste Management Funds. City of Mountain View Page 1 City Council MEETING MINUTES 6/10/2014 Recommend the following actions to fund additional water costs anticipated for the remainder of Fiscal Year 2013-14: 1. Appropriate $105,000 in the Shoreline Regional Park Community Fund for the Community Services Department water budget. 4. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC ON NONAGENDIZED ITEMS Elena Pacheco presented information regarding her rental history in the community, and she expressed concerns with a recent $700/month rent increase she received while currently undergoing treatment for brain cancer. Gregory Herrera spoke in support of his family business, Family Towing, and requested Council's assistance in adding Family Towing to the Mountain View Police Department's rotational towing program. 5. PUBLIC HEARING 5.1 Public Hearing for the Fiscal Year 2014-15 Proposed Budget. President Clark opened the Public Hearing at 7:41 p.m. Community Manager Rich and Treasurer Kong presented oral staff reports and responded to the Board's questions. SPEAKING FROM THE FLOOR IN SUPPORT OF THE BUDGET: John Scarboro President Clark closed the Public Hearing at 7:58 p.m. No action was taken. 6. ADJOURNMENT - At 10:46 p.m., President Clark adjourned the meeting. Appropriate and transfer $32,000 from the General Fund Reserve to the Shoreline Golf Links Fund, Community Services Department water budget. (Five votes required) 3. Appropriate $105,000 in the Shoreline Regional Park Community Fund for the Community Services Department water budget. 4. Appropriate $36,000 in the Solid Waste Management Fund for the Public Works Department water budget.
