SPECIAL MEETING OF THE SHORELINE REGIONAL PARK COMMUNITY
1. CALL TO ORDER/PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
President Rosenberg called the meeting to order at 7:07 p.m.
Fire Chief Diaz led the Pledge of Allegiance.
2. ROLL CALL
Present: 7 - Boardmember Abe-Koga, Boardmember Clark, Boardmember Matichak, Boardmember
McAlister, Boardmember Showalter, Vice President Siegel, and President Rosenberg
3. CONSENT CALENDAR
Boardmember McAlister requested that Item 3.3 be removed from the Consent Calendar.
MOTION - MS - Abe-Koga/Matichak - To approve the Consent Calendar with the exception of Item
3.3.
The motion carried by the following vote:
Yes: 7 - Boardmember Abe-Koga, Boardmember Clark, Boardmember Matichak, Boardmember
McAlister, Boardmember Showalter, Vice President Siegel, and President Rosenberg
3.1 Approval of Minutes
That Shoreline Regional Park Community Boardmembers approve the following minutes:
1. September 5, 2017 Shoreline Regional Park Community meeting;
2. September 12, 2017 Shoreline Regional Park Community meeting;
3. September 19, 2017 Shoreline Regional Park Community meeting; and
4. September 26, 2017 Shoreline Regional Park Community meeting.

3.2 Fiscal Year 2016-17 Annual Compliance Report for Development Impact Fees and Capacity
Charges; and Informational Reporting of Park Land Dedication Fee.
Staff recommends making the Fiscal Year 2016-17 Annual Compliance Report for Development Impact
Fees and Capacity Charges; and Informational Reporting of Park Land Dedication Fee available to the
public, and placing the report on the agenda for the November 28, 2017 Regular Meeting.
3.3 2015-2016 Street Resurfacing and Slurry Seal Program, Projects 15-01 and 16-01-Accept
Construction.
MOTION - MS - McAlister/Abe-Koga - To accept 2015-2016 Street Resurfacing and Slurry Seal
Program, Projects 15-01 and 16-01, and authorize the final contract payment.
The motion carried by the following vote:

4. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC ON NONAGENDIZED ITEMS
Don Letcher expressed concerns with O'Malley's Sports Pub's live entertainment outdoors next to his
residence and requested that Council consider a policy that prohibits live entertainment and alcohol use
within 100' of a residential unit. Mr. Letcher also responded to Council's questions.
Nancy Morimoto expressed appreciation to Council for transferring Development Rights in order to
support the possible acquisition of a new public school site for the Los Altos School District (LASD) in the
San Antonio area.
Deanna Shipman, representing SummerHill Housing Group, presented information regarding the Applied
Materials Turkey Trot.
Richard Adler, Bay Area for Clean Environment Boardmember, spoke in support of Council sending a
letter to the Bay Area Air Quality Management District in support of Regulation 11, Rule 18: Reduction of
Risk from Air Toxic Emissions.
Trey Bornmann expressed appreciation to Council and staff for including the Santiago Villa Mobile Home
Park Neighborhood Association into the City's grant program. Mr. Bornmann presented an update
regarding the association's efforts to be included in the Community Stabilization and Fair Rent Act
(Measure V), or additional programs that would result in rent stabilization for the Santiago Villa community.

5. ADJOURNMENT - At 11:32 p.m., President Rosenberg adjourned the meeting.
