SPECIAL MEETING OF THE SHORELINE REGIONAL PARK COMMUNITY
5:30 P.M.-STUDY SESSION
1. CALL TO ORDER
President Siegel called the meeting to order at 5:34 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL
Present: 7 - Boardmember Abe-Koga, Boardmember Clark, Boardmember McAlister,
Boardmember Rosenberg, Boardmember Showalter, Vice President Matichak, and President
Siegel
Boardmember McAlister arrived at 5:35 p.m.
The purpose of this Study Session is to provide an overview of the City’s water portfolio and
information regarding the City’s strategies for improving the quality of its recycled water.
3. STUDY SESSION
3.1 Recycled Water Advanced Treatment/Long-Term Planning.
Assistant Public Works Director Gregg Hosfeldt and Public Works Director Michael Fuller
presented an oral report and they and Community Manager Rich responded to the Board’s
questions.
There was no public comment.

MOTION - MS - Showalter/Rosenberg - To accept the staff recommendation:
-Continue to pursue funding for the advanced treatment system through grants, loans, and
partnerships.
-Update the recycled water feasibility study to reflect land use and other changes since
completion of the original study.
-After the study update, provide an update to the Board regarding the costs to expand recycled
water service to other areas of the City.
The motion carried by the following vote:
Yes: 7 - Boardmember Abe-Koga, Boardmember Clark, Boardmember McAlister, Boardmember
Rosenberg, Boardmember Showalter, Vice President Matichak, and President Siegel
Following the motion, Community Manager Rich suggested that staff prepare an information
memo as part of the budget narrative regarding the issues of using the water for the golf course,
increasing fees, and communicating with the EPA.
By show of hands, the Board unanimously agreed.
The Study Session concluded at 6:10 p.m.
