Quinn, City Attorney Lisa Natusch, City Clerk December 04, 2018 Council Chambers, 500 Castro St., Mountain View SPECIAL MEETING OF SHORELINE REGIONAL PARK COMMUNITY 6:30 P.M.-SPECIAL SESSION (COUNCIL CHAMBERS) 1. CALL TO ORDER/PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE President Siegel called the meeting to order at 6:43 p.m. and led the Pledge of Allegiance. 2. ROLL CALL Present: 7 - Boardmember Abe-Koga, Boardmember Clark, Boardmember McAlister, Boardmember Rosenberg, Boardmember Showalter, Vice President Matichak, President Siegel 3. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC ON NONAGENDIZED ITEMS Unidentified woman spoke regarding the importance of a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions. Jackie Cashen spoke in support of the residents of 2005 Rock Street. Adina Levin, Friends of Caltrain, spoke regarding voter outreach related to transportation infrastructure-related ballot measures in the November 2018 election. 4. NEW BUSINESS 4.1 North Bayshore Circulation Feasibility Study Project Manager Jim Lightbody presented the staff report. Public Works Director Mike Fuller, Assistant Public Works Director Dawn Cameron and Community Manager Dan Rich provided additional information. Public Comment opened at 7:41 p.m. No speakers. Public Comment closed at 7:41 p.m. City of Mountain View Page 1 City Council MEETING MINUTES - Final 12/4/2018 MOTION - M/S - Abe-Koga/Rosenberg - To: Authorize the Community Manager to execute a professional services agreement with TJKM Transportation Consultants to develop the North Bayshore Circulation Feasibility Study, Project 19-54, in an amount not to exceed $935,000; and Direct staff to incorporate the study of La Avenida as a potential site for the bridge. Following discussion, Boardmember Abe-Koga modified the motion to revise the language in Table 1, North Bayshore Precise Plan Transportation Implementation Actions, Future Transit Facility, to include a transit hub: "As these studies recommend preferred routes or technologies, identify necessary transit facility space, including a transit hub, and location needs based on direction from the Board." Boardmember Rosenberg agreed to the modification. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 7 - Boardmember Abe-Koga, Boardmember Clark, Boardmember McAlister, Boardmember Rosenberg, Boardmember Showalter, Vice President Matichak, President Siegel 5.
