CALL TO ORDER 2. ROLL CALL 3. MINUTES APPROVAL Minutes approval for June 7, 2018. Recommendation: Minutes for the June 7, 2018, meeting have been delivered to Commissioners and a copy posted on the City Hall bulletin board. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC This portion of the meeting is reserved for persons wishing to address the Commission on any matter not on the agenda. Speakers are limited to three minutes. State law prohibits the Commission from acting on non-agenda items. 5. UNFINISHED BUSINESS 5.1 LGBTQI+ Needs and Assets Assessment Final Findings and Recommendations Recommendation: Receive a report from the LGBTQI+ Needs and Assets Subcommittee and adopt the following recommendations: 1. Explore opportunities to partner with the County and non-profits to identify a Mountain View or other North County location for LGBTQ+ community services. 2. Explore ways to further include LGBTQ+ seniors in senior services, and bring LGBTQ+ youth and elders together. 3. Ensure that city events reflect the full diversity of Mountain View, including the LGBTQ+ community. 4. Explore opportunities to partner with the County Office of LGBTQ Affairs to: a. Make LGBTQ+ sensitivity training to all City staff b. Support further dialogue between law enforcement and the LGBTQ+ community about bullying, hate crime reporting, same-sex intimate partner violence, and other safety issues. NEW BUSINESS 6.1 Update on initiatives to assist the Homeless and Unstably Housed in Mountain View Recommendation: Receive an informational update on strategies to assist the homeless and unstably housed residents in Mountain View. No action will be taken on this item. 6.2 Subcommittee Appointments. Recommendation: The Commission will make appointments to the following subcommittees: Immigrant Resources Needs and Assets Subcommittee, Civility Roundtable Subcommittee, and the Multicultural Festival Planning Committee. Action may be taken on this item. 6.3 Civility Roundtable (CRT) Topic Discussion. Recommendation: The Commission will discuss topics and potential dates for Fiscal Year 2018-19 CRT events. Action may be taken on this item. 7. COMMISSION/STAFF ANNOUNCEMENTS, UPDATES, REQUESTS, AND COMMITTEE REPORTS No action will be taken on any questions raised by the Commission at this time. 8.
