All members of the Human Relations Commission will participate in the meeting by video conference, with no physical meeting location. MINUTES APPROVAL 3.1 Minutes approval for December 2, 2021 Recommendation: Minutes for the December 2, 2021, regular meeting have been delivered to the Commissioners and a copy posted to the City Hall bulletin board. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC This portion of the meeting is reserved for persons wishing to address the Commission on any matter not on the agenda. Speakers are limited to three minutes. State law prohibits the Commission from acting on non-agenda items. 5. UNFINISHED BUSINESS 5.1 Mid-Year Work Plan Review Recommendation: Review the work plan for FY 2021-22 and discuss HRC activities for the rest of the fiscal year. No action will be taken on this item. No action will be taken on this item. 5.3 Racial Reconciliation Subcommittee Recommendation: The Racial Reconciliation Subcommittee will present an oral update. No action will be taken on this item. 5.4 Bystander Training Subcommittee Recommendation: The Bystander Training Subcommittee will present an oral update. NEW BUSINESS 6.1 Election of Commission Chair Recommendation: The HRC Chair is responsible for working with staff to set the agenda and meeting management for 2022. Action may be taken on this item. 6.2 Election of Commission Vice Chair Recommendation: The HRC Vice Chair is responsible for supporting the Chair and serving in the Chair role in the event of an absence. The Chair-elect will accept nominations for the role of the Vice Chair for 2022. Action may be taken on this item. 6.3 Fiscal Year 2021-22 Human Relations Commission Meeting Schedule Recommendation: Approve the Fiscal Year 2021-22 Human Relations Commission meeting schedule for the remainder of the fiscal year. COMMISSION/STAFF ANNOUNCEMENTS, UPDATES, REQUESTS, AND COMMITTEE REPORTS No action will be taken on any questions raised by the Commission at this time. 8. Anyone wishing to address the Commission on an item not on the agenda may do so during the Oral Communications portion of the agenda. For any agenda item or for Oral Communications on nonagenda items, if there appears to be a large number of speakers, the Chair may reduce speaking time to no less than 1.5 minutes per speaker unless there is an objection from the Commission by majority vote. Pursuant to Government Code Section 54954.3(b)(1), at least twice the allotted speaking time will be provided to a member of the public who utilizes a translator.
