MINUTES APPROVAL Approval of Minutes Recommendation: That Parks and Recreation Commission approve the March 28, 2018 minutes. Attachments: Minutes 4. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC This portion of the meeting is reserved for persons wishing to address the Commission on any matter not on the agenda. Speakers are limited to three minutes. State law prohibits the Commission from acting on non-agenda items. 5. PRESENTATION 5.1 Responsibilities of Urban Forestry Board in Heritage Tree Appeals A representative of the City Attorney’s Office will provide an overview of the Heritage Tree Ordinance and the provisions regarding the role of the Urban Forestry Board in Heritage Tree Appeals. NEW BUSINESS 6.1 Expanded Programming and Activation for Civic Center Plaza Recommendation: Review and comment on the current programming of Civic Center Plaza and prioritize suggested new amenities and programming elements. Attachments: Memo Budget 6.2 Shoreline Boulevard Bus Lane and Utility Improvements, Project 16-58-Heritage Tree Removal Mitigation Recommendation: Review the proposed Heritage tree mitigation for Shoreline Boulevard Bus Lane and Utility Improvements, Project 16-58, and forward a recommendation to the City Council to approve the staff-recommended mitigation for removal of 11 Heritage trees with 2-to-1 tree replacement ratio with 24” box trees. Attachments: Memo 6.3 Cosponsorship of Shoreline Amphitheatre Fourth of July Event Recommendation: Review the cosponsorship report for Shoreline Amphitheatre’s Annual Fourth of July Symphony and Fireworks Display and forward a recommendation to the City Council to enter into a new multi-year agreement with Live Nation to continue cosponsoring the event.
