MINUTES APPROVAL 3.1 Approval of Minutes Recommendation: That Parks and Recreation Commission approve the February 14, 2018 minutes. Attachments: Minutes 4. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC This portion of the meeting is reserved for persons wishing to address the Commission on any matter not on the agenda. Speakers are limited to three minutes. State law prohibits the Commission from acting on non-agenda items. 5. NEW BUSINESS 5.1 Conceptual Plan for a Community Garden at Shoreline Boulevard and Latham Street, Project 17-44 Recommendation: Review and comment on the Community Garden at Shoreline Boulevard and Latham Street Conceptual Plan and recommend approval of the Plan and an increase in the project budget to the City Council. Attachments: Memo Conceptual Plan 5.2 Stevens Creek Trail Bridge Improvements Feasibility Study, Project 17-42 Recommendation: Receive an update regarding the Stevens Creek Trail Bridge Improvements Feasibility Study, Project 17-42, including staff-recommended alternatives. UNFINISHED BUSINESS 6.1 Park Land Acquisition Review and Recommendation Recommendation: • Recommend staff review internal processes and communication with the Parks and Recreation Commission regarding the following items: - Gatekeeper projects approved by the City Council. - Review real estate opportunities annually in conjunction with the annual park land in-lieu fee recommendations. - Provide opportunity for the Parks and Recreation Commission to review and give input on general plan areas such as East Whisman and North Bayshore areas. • Recommend Parks and Open Space Plan incorporate specific park land acquisition objectives and recommendations in the next update, anticipated for Fiscal Year 2019-20.
