Special Meeting
1. CALL TO ORDER
Vice Chair Donahue called the meeting to order at 6:21 p. m.
2. ROLL CALL
Chair Palay arrived at 6:49 p. m.

Committee Member Beth Wise, Vice Chair Carol Donahue, and Chair Daniel Palay

3.1 Approval of Minutes.
The Performing Arts Committee approve the minutes of the October 17, 2018 meeting.

7. COMMITTEE/STAFF ANNOUNCEMENTS, UPDATES, REQUESTS, AND COMMITTEE
REPORTS
Executive Director Whisler announced application review will happen on Monday,
December 3.
Executive Director Whisler announced the Center accepted the resignation of a Senior
Ticket Services Representative and will be searching for a replacement in the near future.
Center Staff and PAC thanked Chair Palay for his 7 years of service on the Committee.
Chair Palay thanked the Committee and Center Staff for their work and is proud to leave
behind the success of the One-Act Play Festival, SecondStage Home Company
program, and is pleased to see dressing rooms being added to SecondStage.
7.1 PAC Revenue and Expense Spreadsheet.
Informational Item.
8. ADJOURNMENT
At 7:10 p. m. Chair Palay adjourned the meeting to the next Performing Arts Committee
special meeting to be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2019, in the Atrium Conference

This portion of the meeting is reserved for persons wishing to address the Committee on any matter not on the
agenda. Speakers are limited to three minutes. State law prohibits the Committee from acting on non-agenda
items.
5. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
5.1 One-Act Play Festival Subcommittee Report.
Recommendation: Background: The One-Act Play Festival Subcommittee was first formed in June 2013 and
has had several successful years of productions. The Performing Arts Committee (PAC)
will be working on plans for the 2019 Festival.

6. NEW BUSINESS
6.1 Upstage Theater Annual Review.
Recommendation: Background: As part of Upstage Theater's SecondStage Home Company contract, Staff
will present a summary of performance use days, sales and expenses, and open up
discussion for opportunities to improve services and/or relations. Upstage Theater will
provide a report on and discuss their outreach activities for the past year.
