Chair Donahue called the meeting to order at 6:15 p.m.

7. COMMITTEE/STAFF ANNOUNCEMENTS, UPDATES, REQUESTS AND COMMITTEE
REPORTS
Staff and Committee members acknowledged and thanked Committee member Wise for
her years of service as this would be her last meeting on the Performing Arts Committee.
Staff acknowledged it was Committee member Mirza last meeting as well. One seat
remains open for the Performing Arts Committee.
Reminder there is no meeting in December.

At 7:01 p.m., Chair Donahue adjourned the meeting to the next Performing Arts
Committee meeting to be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, remotely via video

This meeting will be conducted in accordance with State of California Executive Order
N-29-20, dated March 17, 2020. All members of the Performing Arts Committee will
participate in the meeting by video conference, with no physical meeting location.
Members of the public wishing to comment on an item on the agenda may do so in the
following ways:
1. Email comments to PerformingArts@mountainview.gov by 5:00 p.m. on the meeting
date. Emails will be forwarded to the Performing Arts Committee. Please identify the
Agenda Item number in the subject line of your email. All emails received will be entered
into the record for the meeting.
2. Provide oral public comments during the meeting:

Recommendation: The Performing Arts Committee (PAC) approve the minutes of the
October 21, 2020 meeting.

This portion of the meeting is reserved for persons wishing to address the Committee on

5. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
5.1 Art for Younger Children
Recommendation: Background: At the May 15, 2019 meeting Committee member Roy
requested to discuss ways to explore arts and its language as used for
younger audiences. On September 16, 2020 an Art for Younger
Children Subcommittee was formed to plan a virtual event with this
topic.

5.2 Mountain View Film Festival 2021 Proposal
Recommendation: Background: At the September 16,2020 PAC meeting a
Subcommittee was formed to begin planning the feasibility of the
Performing Arts Committee hosting an online film festival with the
theme of "Race, Equity, Justice and Inclusion".

6. NEW BUSINESS
6.1 Peninsula Youth Theatre Annual Review
Recommendation: Background: As part of Peninsula Youth Theatre's (PYT) long term
Home Company contract, Staff will present a summary of performance
use days, sales and expenses, and open up discussion for
opportunities to improve service and/or relations. PYT will provide a
report on and discuss their outreach activities for the past year.

NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC:
The specific location of each meeting is noted on the notice and agenda for each meeting which is posted at least 72
hours in advance of the meeting. Special meetings may be called as necessary by the Committee Chair and noticed at
least 24 hours in advance of the meeting.

Interested persons may review the agenda and staff reports at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts beginning
the Friday before each regular meeting. Staff reports are also available during each meeting.

Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts office at 650-903-6565. Notification of 48 hours prior to the meeting will
enable the City to make reasonable arrangements to ensure accessibility to this meeting. (28 CFR 35.160 (b) (1)).
The Committee may take action on any matter noticed herein in any manner deemed appropriate by the Committee. Their
consideration of the matters noticed herein is not limited by the recommendations indicated herein.
SPECIAL NOTICE: Any writings or documents provided to a majority of the Performing Arts Committee regarding any item
on this agenda will be made available for public inspection in the Center for the Performing Arts office, located at 500
Castro Street, during normal business hours and at the meeting location noted on the agenda during the meeting.
ADDRESSING THE COMMITTEE
Interested persons are entitled to speak on any item on the agenda and should make their interest known to the Chair.
Anyone wishing to address the Committee on a nonagenda item may do so during the “Oral Communications” part of the
agenda. Speakers are allowed to speak one time on any number of topics for up to three minutes.
Anyone requiring interpretation services will be afforded twice the allotted speaking time allowed for each specific item.
