1. CALL TO ORDER
Chair Kumar called the meeting to order at 6:16 PM.

3.1 Approval of Minutes
MOTION M/S Kumar/McAlister - To: approve the minutes of the April 19, 2023 meeting.
The motion carried by the following vote:

5.1 Home Company Program Review
Staff is securing arrangements for the PAC to tour comparable regional theaters.
No action taken.
5.2 National Arts and Humanities Month 2023
MOTION M/S McAlister/Kumar- To: adopt staff's recommendation to accept the assistance offered from the
Communications Division to help produce a short promotional video highlighting the arts and humanities in
Mountain View.
The motion carried by the following vote:

6.1 MVCPA Quarterly Performance Measures
Staff reviewed third quarter (January - March 2023) Performance Measures for the Mountain View Center for the
Performing Arts with PAC.
7. COMMITTEE/STAFF ANNOUNCEMENTS, UPDATES, REQUESTS AND COMMITTEE
REPORTS
Chair Kumar asked if it is possible for PAC members to get a tour of the MVCPA and if it is permitted for PAC
members to drop in on current shows or events. Staff agreed to set up a tour of the MVCPA for PAC and to
speak with staff regarding the Committee at upcoming events.
8. ADJOURNMENT
At 7:34 p.m., Chair Kumar adjourned the meeting to the next Performing Arts Committee meeting to be held on
Wednesday, June 21, 2023, in the Atrium Conference Room, 500 Castro Street.

Recommendation: Receive an update from the ad hoc committee.
5.2 National Arts and Humanities Month 2023
Recommendation: Review direction of PAC from April 19, 2023, to create a promotional video and
discuss next steps.

the Atrium Conference Room, 500 Castro Street.

before each regular meeting. Staff reports are also available during each meeting.

Center for the Performing Arts office at 650-903-6565. Notification of 48 hours prior to the meeting will enable the City to make
reasonable arrangements to ensure accessibility to this meeting. (28 CFR 35.160 (b) (1)).
The Committee may take action on any matter noticed herein in any manner deemed appropriate by the Committee. Their consideration
of the matters noticed herein is not limited by the recommendations indicated herein.
SPECIAL NOTICE: Any writings or documents provided to a majority of the Performing Arts Committee regarding any item on this agenda
will be made available for public inspection in the Center for the Performing Arts office, located at 500 Castro Street, during normal
business hours and at the meeting location noted on the agenda during the meeting.
ADDRESSING THE COMMITTEE
Interested persons are entitled to speak on any item on the agenda and should make their interest known to the Chair.
Anyone wishing to address the Committee on a nonagenda item may do so during the “Oral Communications” part of the agenda.
Speakers are allowed to speak one time on any number of topics for up to three minutes.
Anyone requiring interpretation services will be afforded twice the allotted speaking time allowed for each specific item.
