City of Mountain View Minutes Performing Arts Committee Monday, June 5, 2023 8:00 AM Atrium Conference Room SPECIAL MEETING 1. CALL TO ORDER Vice Chair McAlister called the meeting to order at 8:09 a.m. 2. ROLL CALL Present 3 - Committee Member Carol Donahue, Committee Member David Garcia, and Vice Chair John McAlister Excused 2 - Committee Member Yao Yao, and Chair Sukanya Kumar 3. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC Vice Chair McAlister recessed meeting until 10 a.m. at the Bankhead Theater. 4. TOUR OF BANKHEAD THEATER Vice Chair McAlister reconvened meeting at 10:00 a.m. at Bankhead Theater. Tour of Bankhead Theater Performing Arts Committee toured the Bankhead Theater. Vice Chair McAlister said a special thank you to the Bankhead staff on behalf of the City of Mountain View and the Performing Arts Committee for their generosity and time. No action taken. 5. ADJOURNMENT At 11:30 a.m., Vice Chair McAlister adjourned the meeting to the next Performing Arts Committee meeting to be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, in the Atrium Conference Room, 500 Castro Street. City of Mountain View Agenda Performing Arts Committee Monday, June 5, 2023 8:00 AM Atrium Conference Room SPECIAL MEETING Agenda Items 1 - 3 and public comments on Item 4 will take place at Mountain View City Hall in the Atrium Conference room. PAC will reconvene at 10:00 AM at 2400 1st Street, Livermore, CA 94550 for agenda Item 4. 1. CALL TO ORDER 2. ROLL CALL 3. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC This portion of the meeting is reserved for persons wishing to address the Committee on any matter not on the agenda. Speakers are limited to three minutes. State law prohibits the Committee from acting on non-agenda items. 4. TOUR OF BANKHEAD THEATER Performing Arts Committee will tour the Bankhead Theater to review comparable theater operations and programming as a part of the Home Company review process. Members of the public are welcome to drive to the location and participate in the tour with the Performing Arts Committee. Special meetings may be called as necessary by the Committee Chair and noticed at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting. Interested persons may review the agenda and staff reports at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts beginning the Friday before each regular meeting. Staff reports are also available during each meeting. Pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), if you need special assistance in this meeting, please contact the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts office at 650-903-6565. Notification of 48 hours prior to the meeting will enable the City to make reasonable arrangements to ensure accessibility to this meeting. (28 CFR 35.160 (b) (1)). The Committee may take action on any matter noticed herein in any manner deemed appropriate by the Committee. Their consideration of the matters noticed herein is not limited by the recommendations indicated herein. SPECIAL NOTICE: Any writings or documents provided to a majority of the Performing Arts Committee regarding any item on this agenda will be made available for public inspection in the Center for the Performing Arts office, located at 500 Castro Street, during normal business hours and at the meeting location noted on the agenda during the meeting. ADDRESSING THE COMMITTEE Interested persons are entitled to speak on any item on the agenda and should make their interest known to the Chair. Anyone wishing to address the Committee on a nonagenda item may do so during the “Oral Communications” part of the agenda. Speakers are allowed to speak one time on any number of topics for up to three minutes.
