3.1 Approve Minutes
M/S Tymes/Gilfix - To approve the Senior Advisory Committee Meeting minutes of May 17, 2023.

5. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
5.1 Santa Clara County Senior Care Commission Update
Vice Chair Tymes notified SAC that Senior Care Commission meetings are currently paused.
5.2 Sourcewise Advisory Council Update
Committee member Gilfix notified the SAC that the Sourcewise Advisory Council is recruiting community
volunteers to advise.
6. NEW BUSINESS
6.1 Brown Act Discussion and Public City Sponsored Events
Staff updated the SAC on attendance at public meetings and social events.

6.2 Subcommittee Assignments FY 2023-24
The SAC volunteered to work on the following subcommittees:
Senior Advisory Outreach Subcommittee: Vice Chair Tymes and Member Gilfix.
Executive Summary Subcommittee: Chair Hui and Member Nichols.
7. COMMITTEE/STAFF COMMENTS, QUESTIONS, COMMITTEE REPORTS
7.1 Senior Center Update
Staff provided an update of Senior Center programming and comment cards received during the month of
September.
7.2 Committee Roundtable

Recommendation: Vice Chair Tymes will provide an update on the work being done by Santa Clara County
Senior Care Commission.
5.2 Sourcewise Advisory Council Update
Recommendation: Committee member Gilfix will provide an update on the work being done by the
Sourcewise Advisory Council.

6. NEW BUSINESS
6.1 Brown Act Discussion and Public City Sponsored Events
Recommendation: Staff will provide updates.
6.2 Subcommittee Assignments FY 2023-24
Recommendation: Review approved work plan and assign SAC to subcommittees.
7. COMMITTEE/STAFF COMMENTS, QUESTIONS, COMMITTEE REPORTS
No action will be taken on any questions raised by the Committee at this time.
7.1 Senior Center Update
Recommendation: Staff will provide a brief summary of Senior Center programming and comment cards
received during the month of September.
7.2 Committee Roundtable
Recommendation: No action will be taken on any questions raised by the SAC at this time. Approval by the
SAC to agendize for future meetings can be reached by a majority vote.
