1. CALL TO ORDER
Recreation Coordinator, Lauren Eck, called the meeting to order at 4:33 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL - Committee members Andrzejek, Byon, Chan, Jhin, John, Lew, Luna, Ma,
Montano, Nair, Oh, Rajasekaran, Tan, Wazhi, and Zayats.
Present 10 - Member Dylan Andrzejek, Member Katie Byon, Member Natalie Chan, Member Ryan Jhin,
Member Naisha John, Member Sophia Lew, Member Victoria Ma, Member Leilani Montano,
Member Kavya Wazhi, and Member Meital Zayats
Absent 5 - Member Taylor Luna, Member Jayan Nair, Member Jiwoo Oh, Member Shahana Rajasekaran,
and Member Kaelyn Tan
3. APPROVE MINUTES
3.1 Minutes Approval
To approve the August 19 meeting minutes.

Member Ma, Member Montano, Member Wazhi, and Member Zayats

6. NEW BUSINESS
6.1 Overview of the Brown Act and Rosenberg’s Rules of Order
Staff Liaisons provided committee members with an overview of the Brown Act and Rosenberg’s Rules of
Order.
6.2 2024-2025 Work Plan Brainstorm
Committee members began to narrow down ideas for the committee's focus and projects for the upcoming
year. Committee members participated in an individual activity of stickering their favorite ideas generated
from the last meeting as well as small group discussions around possible work plan items.
6.3 Teen Wellness Retreat Workshops
Staff liaisons provided an update on the 2024 Teen Wellness Retreat Event. Committee members finalized
two workshops that they will be hosting - 'Vision Boards for a Happier You' and 'Chill Out Creations'.

6.4 Teen Week 2025
Committee members discussed dates for Teen Week 2025.

Recreation Coordinator, Lauren Eck, adjourned the meeting at 5:47 p.m.

Staff Liaisons will provide a presentation of the Brown Act and Rosenberg’s Rules of Order to Committee
members.
