NOTICE is hereby given of a meeting of the Animal Shelter Advisory Committee of the City of Murphy, Collin County,
State of Texas, to be held on January 7, 2021, at the City Hall Community Room for the purpose of considering the

Agenda and that this notice was posted on the designated bulletin board at Murphy City Hall, 206
North Murphy Road, Murphy, Texas 75094; a place convenient and readily accessible to the public
at all times, and said notice was posted on Monday, January 4, 2021 by 5:00 p.m. and will remain
posted continuously for 72 hours prior to the scheduled meeting pursuant to Chapter 551 of the
Texas Government Code.

Notice of Possible Quorum: There may be a quorum of the Board of Adjustment, the Building and
Fire Code Appeals Board, the Capital Projects Advisory Committee, the City Council, the Ethics
Review Commission, the Murphy Community Development Corporation, the Murphy Municipal
Development District Board, the Park and Recreation Board and/or the Planning and Zoning
Commission members who may be present at the meeting, but they will not deliberate on any city
or board business.

1. CALL TO ORDER
Meeting was called to order by Committee Chair, Buddy Russell at 6:35 pm.
2. ROLL CALL & CERTIFICATION OF A QUORUM
Kim Gann, certified a quorum with the following members present:

3. INDIVIDUAL CONSIDERATION
A. Consider and/or act on approve the February 21, 2019, Regular Animal Shelter Advisory
Committee Meeting minutes. Kim Parker, Support Services Manager
COMMITTEE ACTION: (Item 3A) APPROVED
Dr. Lorraine Chalkley moved to approve the February 21, 2019, Regular Animal Shelter
Advisory Committee Meeting minutes. Margaret Whitt seconded the motion.
For: Unanimous. Absent: Shafquat Rabbee. The motion carried by a vote of 5-0.
4. STAFF UPDATES
A. May 11, 2019, Low Cost Vaccine Clinic
Kim Parker reported the Low Cost Vaccine Clinic on May 11, 2019 an attendance
of 68, she stated the clinics are still doing well with attendance. The next clinic
will be October 26, 2019.

B. Clear the Shelter Event
Kim Parker reported that August 17, 2010, is the date of the event
C. New Fencing at Animal Shelter
Kim Parker informed the Committee that the fence would run off side to the
outdoor area by the HVAC unit. We are requesting quotes for a 6ft. and 8ft,
black coated fence. This project will go out for bid in the next few months. This
project will deplete the Animal Shelter donation account.
D. Maize Days Event
The Committee discussed different options for advertising the animal services for
Maize Days. The pet tent will be set up from 10:00am – 4:00pm. I.D. Tags will be
$6.00 and Microchipping will be $15.00.
5. ADJOURNMENT
With no further business, a motion was entertained by the Chair and the Animal Shelter
Advisory Committee meeting adjourned at 6:46 pm.
