CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order, by Chair Margaret Whitt at 6:01 pm. 2. Consider and/or act on approve the August 14, 2023 Regular Animal Shelter Advisory Committee Meeting minutes. Sgt. Jason Smith, Animal Control Supervisor. Margaret Whitt made a motion to approve the August 14, 2023, Regular Animal Shelter Advisory Committee Meeting minutes as presented. Sgt. Jason Smith seconded the motion. Motion passed 5-0 B. Consider and/or act on the 2024 Animal Shelter Advisory Committee Regular Meeting Dates. Sgt. Jason Smith, Animal Control Supervisor Page 3 of 5  Agenda Item 4. A. ASAC Minutes December 11, 2023 The Committee agreed upon March 4, 2024, July 22, 2024 and October 28, 2024 as the regular Animal Control Advisory Committee meeting dates for 2024. Sgt. Jason Smith made a motion to approve the 2024 meeting dates as discussed. Margarit Whitt seconded the motion. Motion passed 5-0 5. STAFF UPDATES A. Low-Cost Vaccine Clinic October 2023: January 28th - 98 May 25th – 108 October 28th – 94 B. 2024 Low-Cost Vaccine Clinic Dates: January 27, 2024 / May 25, 2024 / October 26, 2024 C. Advertising for Low-Cost Clinics Monthly water bills will cost .01 per flyer. Hollywood Feed will place flyers in their doors. Marque sign on N Murphy Rd. Committee Members posting on Next door and HOA fb page and newsletters. D. 2023 Maize Days No services performed this year due to lack of personnel, still had good traffic with giveaways. E. Dog Parks Budgetary Item: materials, manpower, maintenance F. Animal Shelter Donations The city cannot solicit donations. Committee members are agents of the city and are not allowed to solicit donations as long as they are on the Committee. G. Animal Shelter Current Occupancy 13 cats – 2 are available for adoption currently; 6 dogs – 5 are available for adoption currently. H. Animal Shelter Inspections The Shelter had their annual veterinary inspection, performed by Dr. Ann Fraser, and has no issues and passed the inspection. I.
