For: Unanimous. Absent: Anne Fraser Matthews, Margaret Whitt, and Jaskiran Kaur. The motion carried by a vote of 4-0. B. Consider and/or act on the 2025 Animal Shelter Advisory Committee meeting dates. Lt. Adana Barber, Committee Liaison COMMITTEE ACTION: APPROVED Jessica Grubb moved to approve the 2025 Animal Shelter Advisory Committee meeting dates of Thursday, February 20th, Thursday, July 17th and Thursday, November 6th. Page 2 of 2 Animal Shelter Advisory Committee December 9, 2024 A. October 5, 2024 Maize Days Event Staff discussed the locations of the Animal Shelter tent not being in a good location for foot traffic. Staff discussed having the Animal Shelter tent to be located with the other City tents, if the setup remains the same in 2025. B. October 26, 2024 Low Cost Vaccine Clinic We had 84 participate in the October 26, 2024 low cost vaccine clinic. The 2025 low cost vaccine clinic dates are January 25th, May 24th and October 25th. C. Social Media policy/strategy to promote the Animal Shelter We will begin promoting a "Pet of the Week" every Wednesday on the City of Murphy's Facebook page. D. Animal Shelter Occupancy 5 Dogs 6 Cats E. Animal Shelter Advisory Committee future agenda item request. There were no future agenda item requests. 6. ADJOURNMENT With no further business, a motion was entertained by the President and the Animal Shelter Advisory Committee meeting adjourned at 6:20 pm.
