MINUTES SPECIAL MEETING BOARD OF MAYOR AND BURGESSES JANUARY 10, 2012 1. Mayor Robert A. Mezzo called the special meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. with the following in attendance: BURGESSES: RESIDENTS: T. K. Rossi L. Jackson None M. Bronko, arrived 5:40 p.m. R. Neth R. Burns R. San Angelo PRESS: M. Ciacciarella, absent P. Scully, Sr. R. DeRosa C. Ernsky L. Weschler DEPARTMENT HEADS: OTHERS: J. Dambowsky, Registrar of Voters Attorney E. Fitzpatrick L. Sheedy, Registrar of Voters Attorney L. Caine 2. Mayor Mezzo led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. 3. VOTED: Unanimously on a motion by Deputy Mayor Rossi and seconded by Burgess Scully to recess to Executive Session at 5:33 p.m. for discussion on the following: Real Estate Negotiations Regarding 246 Rubber Avenue inviting in Attorney E. Fitzpatrick. Mayor Mezzo reconvened the meeting at 6:00 p.m. 4. There were no motions emanating from Executive Session. 5. Attorney Leonard Caine, Republican Registrar of Voters Janice Dambowsky and Democratic Registrar of Voters Louise Sheedy discussed the proposed redistricting/revision of the voting lines of the Borough of Naugatuck which became necessary due to the 2012 Reapportionment by the Connecticut General Assembly. District 3 Ward 4 in Naugatuck was eliminated due to the restructuring of the voting lines at the state level and the Senior Center will no longer be used as a polling location. 6. VOTED: Unanimously on a motion by Deputy Mayor Rossi and seconded by Burgess Scully that the Board of Mayor and Burgesses accept and approve the Plan of Redistricting/Revision of Ward Lines in the Borough of Naugatuck as recommended by Janice Dambowsky and Louise Sheedy, Registrars of Voters. 7. VOTED: Unanimously on a motion by Deputy Mayor Rossi and seconded by Burgess Scully to adjourn the special meeting at 6:12 p.m. A digital recording of this meeting is available in the office of the Borough Clerk for further review. Motion by Burgess that the Board of Mayor and Burgesses accept and approve the Plan of Redistricting/Revision of Ward Lines in the Borough of Naugatuck as recommended by Janice Dambowsky and Louise Sheedy, Registrars of Voters 7.
