MINUTES SPECIAL MEETING BOARD OF MAYOR AND BURGESSES JANUARY 17, 2012 1. Mayor Robert A. Mezzo called the special meeting to order at 6:46 p.m. with the following in attendance: BURGESSES: RESIDENTS: T. K. Rossi L. Jackson None M. Bronko R. Neth R. Burns R. San Angelo PRESS: M. Ciacciarella, absent P. Scully, Sr. R. DeRosa C. Ernsky, absent L. Weschler DEPARTMENT HEADS: W. McAllister, Controller OTHERS: C. Marenghi, NHS Building Committee Attorney E. Fitzpatrick D. King, Kaestle Boos Associates W. Malicki, Fire Commission F. Khericha, Kaestle Boos Associates 2. Mayor Mezzo led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. 3 Mayor Mezzo appointed Lydia Bozenski, Public Works, 258 Rubber Avenue, Naugatuck, CT 06770 as a member of the Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC/NEMAC), filling the vacancy of S. Baummer. 4. VOTED: Unanimously on a motion by Deputy Mayor Rossi and seconded by Burgess Scully that the Board of Mayor and Burgesses authorize the Mayor to execute all contracts and related documents with Kaestle Boos Associates, Inc. 5. VOTED: Unanimously on a motion by Deputy Mayor Rossi and seconded by Burgess Scully that the Board of Mayor and Burgesses authorize Mayor Mezzo to execute all contracts and related documents with BSC Group, 180 Glastonbury Boulevard, Glastonbury, CT 06033 for Surveying Services in regard to the High School Renovation Project in the amount of $19,300. 6. VOTED: Unanimously on a motion by Deputy Mayor Rossi and seconded by Burgess Burns that the Board of Mayor and Burgesses authorize Mayor Mezzo to execute all contracts and related documents with Dr. Clarence Welti, P.E.R., 227 Williams Street, Glastonbury, CT 06033 for Geotechnical Services in regard to the High School Renovation Project in the amount of $41,000.  -2- Minutes – Board of Mayor and Burgesses Special Meeting – January 17, 2012 7. VOTED: Unanimously on a motion by Deputy Mayor Rossi and seconded by Burgess Burns that the Board of Mayor and Burgesses authorize Mayor Mezzo to execute all contracts and related documents with TRC, 21 Griffin Road North, Windsor, CT 06095 for Environmental Consulting Services in regard to the High School Renovation Project in the amount of $30,000. 8. VOTED: Unanimously on a motion by Deputy Mayor Rossi and seconded by Burgess Scully to adjourn the special meeting at 7:08 p.m. A digital recording of this meeting is available in the office of the Borough Clerk for further review.
