MINUTES SPECIAL MEETING BOARD OF MAYOR AND BURGESSES NOVEMBER 23, 2015 Deputy Mayor Robert A. Neth was sworn into office by Dorothy Neth-Kunin. 1. Mayor N. Warren “Pete” Hess called the special meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. with the following in attendance: BURGESSES: PRESS: R. Neth L. Jackson L. Marshall R. Burns P. Scully, Sr. L. Weschler K. Donovan R. Vitale C. Herb D. Wisniewski RESIDENTS: D. Hoff Three DEPARTMENT HEADS: J. Lawlor, Human Resources Director R. Butler, Jr., Controller J. Bernegger, Deputy Police Chief C. Edson, Chief of Police S. Locke, Superintendent of Schools J. Goggin, Tax Collector C. Montini, Assistant Superintendent of Schools E. Murray, Interim Fire Chief OTHERS: D. Sheridan, Board of Finance D. Scinto, Board of Finance B. Rizk, Assistant BOE Business Manager S. Hunt, Police Captain D. Neth-Kunin, Board of Education K. Kiernan, Board of Finance M. Jacoboski, Police Training Officer J. Savarese, Board of Finance 2. Burgess Scully led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. 3. VOTED: Unanimously on a motion by Deputy Mayor Neth and seconded by Burgess Scully that the Board of Mayor and Burgesses extend the due date for payment on Personal Property exemptions that were issued in error as recommended by Tax Collector James Goggin. 4. VOTED: Unanimously on a motion by Deputy Mayor Neth and seconded by Burgess Scully that the Board of Mayor and Burgesses set the salary range for the position of Tax Assessor between $65,000 and $90,000 as recommended by Controller Robert W. Butler, Jr. and Human Resources Director John Lawlor. 5. VOTED: Unanimously on a motion by Deputy Mayor Neth and seconded by Burgess Scully that the Board of Mayor and Burgesses refer to the Joint Boards of Mayor and Burgesses and Board of Finance a transfer request not to exceed $34,000 from Contingency to the Property Assessment Department – Payroll Account as recommended by Controller Robert W. Butler, Jr. -2- Minutes – Board of Mayor and Burgesses Special Meeting – November 23, 2015 6. VOTED: Unanimously on a motion by Deputy Mayor Neth and seconded by Burgess Scully to adjourn the meeting at 6:46 p.m. A digital recording of this meeting is available in the office of the Borough Clerk for further review.
