MINUTES SPECIAL MEETING BOARD OF MAYOR AND BURGESSES JUNE 17, 2016 1. Mayor N. Warren “Pete” Hess called the special meeting to order at 5:01 p.m. with the following in attendance: BURGESSES: PRESS: R. Neth L. Jackson None R. Burns, absent P. Scully, Sr. K. Donovan R. Vitale RESIDENTS: C. Herb, absent D. Wisniewski One D. Hoff DEPARTMENT HEADS: OTHERS: R. Butler, Jr., Controller Attorney E. Fitzpatrick M. Katra, Republican Registrar Beaumont Hess 2. Burgess Jackson led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. 3. VOTED: Unanimously on a motion by Deputy Mayor Neth and seconded by Burgess Scully that the Board of Mayor and Burgesses set Tuesday, July 12, 2016 between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. as the date and time for the 2016/2017 Budget Referendum, to be held at the Naugatuck Senior Center, 300 Meadow Street, Naugatuck, CT 06770. 4. VOTED: Unanimously on a motion by Deputy Mayor Neth and seconded by Burgess Scully that the Board of Mayor and Burgesses approve the following questions to appear on the 2016/2017 Budget Referendum Ballot: “Shall the Town Operating Budget of $58,297,432 for the Borough of Naugatuck for the fiscal year 2016/2017 be adopted? Yes No- Too High No- Too Low “Shall the Board of Education Budget of $61,683,651 for the Borough of Naugatuck for the fiscal year 2016/2017 be adopted? Yes No- Too High No- Too Low 5. VOTED: Unanimously on a motion by Deputy Mayor Neth and seconded by Burgess Scully to recess to Executive Session at 5:11 p.m. for discussion on the following: Pending Litigation inviting in Controller R. Butler, Jr. and Attorney E. Fitzpatrick.  -2- Minutes – Board of Mayor and Burgesses Special Meeting – June 17, 2016 Mayor Hess reconvened the meeting at 6:10 p.m. 6. There were no motions emanating from Executive Session. 7. VOTED: Unanimously on a motion by Deputy Mayor Neth and seconded by Burgess Jackson to adjourn the special meeting at 6:10 p.m. A digital recording of this meeting is available in the office of the Borough Clerk for further review.
