AGENDA
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Brockman called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m.
CALL OF ROLL: CITY SECRETARY
Present 7 - Mayor Rusty Brockman, Councilmember Christopher Willis,
Mayor Pro Tem Harry Bowers, Councilmember Lawrence
Spradley, Councilmember Jason Hurta, Councilmember James
Blakey, and Andres Campos
INVOCATION: COUNCILMEMBER WILLIS
Councilmember Willis provided the Invocation.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE & SALUTE TO THE TEXAS FLAG
Mayor Brockman led the Pledge of Allegiance and the Salute to the
Texas Flag.
1. WORKSHOP
A) Presentation, discussion, and possible direction to staff regarding the
2019 Bond youth sports complex project.
Mayor Brockman read the aforementioned item.
Robert Camareno introduced this item giving a brief overview. He
introduced Jordan Matney who presented a PowerPoint giving details
on capital projects and the Sports Complex update. Jordan Matney,
Robert Camareno, and Jared Werner addressed questions from
Council.
Mayor Brockman asked to move forward with the second item and put
public comment at the end of the second presentation.

B) Presentation, discussion and possible direction to staff regarding
Police Department resources and the possible creation of a crime,
control, and prevention district.
Robert Camareno introduced this item presenting a PowerPoint and
included Chief Keith Lane and Jared Werner to discuss Police
Department resources and the possible creation of a crime, control,
and prevention district.
At 4:59 p.m. Mayor Brockman opted to cancel the 5:00 p.m. Executive
Session and continue with the Workshop. Notifications were posted on
outside door to City Hall, posting cabinet outside of City Hall, both
doors entering into Council Chambers, and electronically on our
Website.
Robert Camareno, Jared Werner, and Chief Keith Lane addressed
questions from Council.
Mayor Pro-Tem Bowers left the dais 5:40 p.m. Mayor Pro-Tem Bowers
returned at 5:43.
Mayor Brockman opened the floor to residents for both items A and B.
The following individuals spoke at this time: Joe Turner, Jim Pogue,
and Jonathan Packer.
2. EXECUTIVE SESSION
In accordance with the Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Ch. 551, the
City Council may convene in a closed session to discuss any of the items listed
below. Any final action or vote on any executive session item will be taken in open
session.
3. RECONVENE INTO OPEN SESSION AND TAKE ANY NECESSARY
ACTION RELATING TO THE EXECUTIVE SESSION AS DESCRIBED
ABOVE.
